Gibberellin-induced growth.

1. Stem growth.
   The Arabidopsis plant starts growth as a small rosette with short internodes. Later in the growing season, a surge of gibberellin results in bolting: elongating internodes and elevating the flower buds.

   Spraying a grape vine with gibberellin results in development of larger fruit, as shown in the bunch on the right.
