Moving   water  (current)  is
   characteristic of streams and rivers, and they are often oxygen-rich.

   Small  aquatic organisms must adapt to the moving water to avoid being
   swept  downstream,  and  the  presence of pollution-intolerant aquatic
   macroinverbrates are often used as an indicator of water quality.
